Aim

The aim of the conference is to promote research and education throughout the cadre. It will also provide trainees with the opportunity to network with the cadre and present their work.

iCSOS

ICSOS is the instructional CSOS and aims to improve trainee learning. All trainees are expected to attend and Medical Students, Foundation Doctors and GDMOs are welcome to attend. It is taking place from 07-08 May 2025 before the main CSOS conference. Details on topics that will be covered will come out closer to the time.

Tickets

Tickets are available on the shop to purchase. Medical students, Foundation Doctors and GDMOs have free subsidised tickets which are also found in the shop.

T&S is to be approved by individual units in the first instance. A NAC has been organised by the LOC and is available here. Please fill out your details prior to sending it to your local unit.

Abstracts

Abstracts are invited from all those attending the meeting. Abstract submission for trainees at all levels is mandatory. Abstracts should be sent to Secretary@csos.org.uk in the following format, with a maximum word count of 300 words, no later than 31 March 2025. Successful abstracts will be published in the BJJ proceedings and submission of abstracts constitutes consent for this.

CC1 forms are to be completed if required and a blank form can be found here.

Conference Fee claim

A group 1797 application has been submitted by Col Guthrie. Individuals are to submit their 1797 form to Col Guthrie no later than 6 weeks before the conference as applications submitted after this date will be rejected by EETS. The 1797 word document can be found here.

Dinner

Dinner tickets are available in the shop and are priced at £100. The dinner will be held on 09 May 2025 and the venue will be the stunning Warwick Castle. Tickets are extremely limited and preference will be given to current trainees and consultants.

If you are a Medical Student, Foundation Doctor or GDMO, there is an option to register your interest in coming to the dinner when purchasing a conference ticket. If you express an interest in the dinner, your name will be placed on a reserve list in order of ticket purchase.
